The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka, in association with Alva’s Ayurveda Medical College, Moodubidire, successfully organized the 23rd State Level Annual Intercollegiate Athletics Championship 2025–26 at Swaraj Maidan, Moodubidire from 18th to 20th November 2025. The championship aimed to promote sportsmanship, physical fitness, and intercollegiate bonding among students of health science institutions across the state. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various colleges, creating a vibrant and competitive atmosphere that celebrated the spirit of athletics.
The championship was inaugurated on 18th November 2025 at 4:30 PM in the gracious presence of Dr. Bhagavan B.C., Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, RGUHS, Bengaluru, as the Chief Guest. The inaugural function was attended by distinguished dignitaries including Shri Umanath A. Kotian, Shri K. Abhayachandra Jain, Prof. U.T. Iftikar Ali, Dr. Shiva Sharan Shetty, Prof. Vaishali Sreejith, and Dr. B. Vasantha Shetty. Their inspiring addresses encouraged students to balance academics with sports and cultivate discipline, teamwork, and perseverance, making the event both memorable and motivating for all participants.
