Health awareness/education program was conducted by Dept. of Swasthavritta on the topic
“Nutritional counseling for school children” at adopted school D.K.Z.P. Higher Primary School,
Pucchamogaru on 08.02.25, 11.00 am -12.30 pm as a part of community outreach program. Dr.
Smitha Bhat U.S. Associate Professor, Alva’s Ayurveda Medical College, Moodubidire, was the
resource person, delivered the interactive session to the children. Importance of nutrition in the
food for growth and development of children was made clear to the students. Daily requirement
of individual nutrients were explained to each students based on their body necessity. The
program was presided by the School Assistant Headmaster Mr. Sukumar and witnessed by all the
teachers of the school. It ended with the question and answers session. The program was assisted
by PG scholars of Swasthavritta Department. 65 students of the school got benefitted by the
program.
