Summary of the programme:
In the fond memory of agriculturist late Dr L. Soans, SAMRIDHI- Fest of display and sale of different varieties Jack fruit, its preparation and other Agriculture was organized from 14th to 16th July at Vidyagiri.
On behalf of this, Stall no 108 was given to 3 departments (RSBK, Dravya Guna & Swasthavritta) of Alvas Ayurveda Medical College.
Various products like Panasa Prasha, Jack candy, Alvas Jakheer, Alvas Panasmrut, Jack biscuits were displayed and marketed
Department of Swasthavritta and Yoga displayed various charts regarding to information of Jack fruit like:
- Vernacular Names
- Properties
- Indication and contraindication
- Medicinal benefits
- Homemade medicinal preparation by using different part of Jackfruit tree
- Diet practices using Jackfruits in various states of India
The event was inaugurated by Dr Swasti Shree Bhattaraka Pandithacharyavarya Mahaswamiji, Dr Mohan Alva and Shri K Abhayachandra Jain. Event continued for 3 days from7 AM to 7 PM with valedictory programme on Sunday 16th of July 2023. The people from different places witnessed and relished the taste of different preparations from Jackfruit and other seasonal fruits.
All the staffs & PG scholars from the Department of Swathavritta and Yoga, Rasa shastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana and Dravya Guna were allocated for duty in the stall 108, from 7 am to 7 pm in rotation basis.
